I was really not going to post another small entry, but I couldn’t resist this, as it just made me laugh. A small town in texas has renamed itself to “Dish”, in exchange for 10 years of free satellite TV for all residents.
The city council meeting to vote on the name was packed on Tuesday night and about 12 people — 10 percent of the town’s population — stood up to support the name change, which passed unanimously.
So if you really love your TV, and want to move to a town that really loves their TV, I guess this is the spot for you!
(Note that I refrained from making any comments on the resolve of american society, fitness of couch potatoes, and the high-quality television programming that exists today)
